Obituary for Van R. "Skeet" Weston

Van “Skeet” Ray Weston, age 83, of Tyrone died Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Epworth Manor. He was born on August 28, 1930, in Tyrone, the son of G. Ray and L. Ruth Fagley Weston. On September 28, 1952 at the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church he was married to Josie May Seiner who survives. Also surviving are three children – Jim (Roseann) Weston, Philipsburg, Tim (Helene) Weston, Tyrone and Deanna (Rick) Gray, Tyrone, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Weston was a member of the First English Lutheran Church. He was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1948 and had been employed at Westvaco and retired in 1992 from PPG after 20 years of service. He loved spending time with his family.
Funeral service for Van Ray Weston will be Friday, August 8th at 12:30 PM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Sharon Erb officiating. Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until the 12:30 PM funeral service.
