Paul A. Sherry, 85, of Bald Eagle died Wednesday June 17, 2015 at his residence
He was born August 2, 1929 in Buffalo, New York a son of Austin C. and Esther J. (Sessamen) Sherry. On May 26, 1947 in Cumberland, Maryland he married Edna C. Kirkpatrick.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter Cathy Bonsell and husband Donnie of Bald Eagle, 3 sons Thomas L. and wife Judy, David P. and wife Kathy and Stephen B. and wife April all of Bald Eagle, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, a sister Margaret Tepsic of Bald Eagle and a brother William C. of Bald Eagle. He was preceded in death by a sister Mildred Savino and a brother Robert.
Mr. Sherry was owner of Sherry’s Trucking and Logging, Bald Eagle for the past 40 years, He previously operated Sherry’s Gulf Station on Adams Ave., Tyrone from 1961-1974.
He was a member of Tyrone Alliance Church where he had been a Sunday School teacher, an Elder and Trustee. He was past president of the Oak Ridge Water Authority.
Paul enjoyed his Bassett hounds.
Funeral services will be held Saturday June 20, 2015 at 11 A.M. at Tyrone Alliance Church with Pastor Carl Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received today from 6 to 9 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home.
