Obituary for Mary Jane Weidley

Mary Jane Weidley, age 96, of Tyrone died Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Epworth Manor. She was born August 11, 1918 in Altoona, the daughter of Emory and Elsie Gates Pittman. On June 20, 1943 in Alexandria, LA she was married to George J. Weidley who preceded her in death June 7, 1992. She is survived by a daughter Brenda Alane (Gary) Mace of Tavernier, FL, two grandchildren Andrew Byers of FL and Kristi Myers of Tyrone and two great-grandchildren, Chase and Sydney.

Mrs. Weidley was a graduate of Altoona High School and of the Moody Bible Institute. She had been employed in the Census Bureau of the US Government. She was a member of the Atoona Bible Church.

Funeral service for Mrs. Weidley will be Tuesday, March 31st at 11 AM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. conducted by Pastor Stewart W. McClelland. Interment will be in Alto Reste Cemetery, Altoona. Friends may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the 11 AM service.
