Obituary for Martha J. Fox

Martha Janet Fox, age 65, died Saturday, November 19, 2016 at her home. She was born on October 4, 1951 in Altoona, the daughter of the late James Revere and Lola Jane Smith. On August 25, 1979 at St. John’s Lutheran Church inSinking Valley, she married William Fox of Sinking Valley. Surviving is her beloved husband of 37 years, and two daughters, Audrey Janet (Jason) Patterson, Wellsboro and Rachel Martha (Timothy) Arnold, Pennsylvania Furnace, two grandsons, Jacob Reed Patterson and William Tyler Arnold and two sisters, Judy Lynn (William) Black, Sinking Valley, and Alice J. (Paul Gregory) Simendinger, Ashville.

Mrs. Fox was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church . She assisted with Altar Guild and Bible School. She was a 1969 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. Following high school, she was employed at Gardners Candy as an Executive Secretary for nine years. She was an accountant for Fox’s Maple Glenn Farm and so much more.

Martha was a wonderful wife and mother who was devoted to her family, which loved her dearly. She loved her grandsons and was a special Nana. She was a loving Aunt Ingy to her nephew Jared Simendinger and niece Arlee Simendinger.

Private funeral service was under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Reverend Earnest Walls officiating. Interment was made in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
