Obituary for Marjorie L. Warner

Marjorie L. Warner, age 85, of Port Matilda, PA passed away peacefully in the comfort of her lifelong home on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Marjorie was of the Protestant faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, George S. and Ruth Spotts Warner, her brother Harrison Spotts and sister-in-law Martha Spotts, and niece Susie Hescox.
Marjorie was a 1947 graduate of Port Matilda High School, Class of 1947. She worked for a number of years at the Port Matilda telephone company before working at Erie Technological Products in State College from 1957 to 1977. Marjorie was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, cultivating beautiful flower gardens, feeding and identifying as many bird species as she could, knitting and crocheting gifts for family members, playing the piano, Pittsburgh Pirate baseball, and family picnics at Black Moshannon.
She is survived by her brother Robert (Nancy) Warner of Port Matilda; nephews Todd (Elaine) Warner of Howard, Jayson (Sanae) Warner of Peach Tree City, Georgia, Richard (Judy) Spotts and Stanley Spotts of Bellwood; nieces Melissa (Karl) Stine of Port Matilda, Tamara (Garrett) Housel of Port Matilda, Norma (Walter) Shoff, Marsha (John) Patton of Bellwood, and Lowella (John) Thoman of Manchester, PA.
Friends will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, June 16th with the funeral service with Pastor Todd Templeton to immediately follow. Marjorie will be laid to rest beside her parents in Grays Cemetery, Halfmoon Township, Centre County
