Obituary for Frank D. Fee
Mr. Frank D. Fee of State College, PA died Sunday, March 16, 2014 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center, State College. He was born in Reading, PA on May 22, 1941, the son of Frank D. and Margaret Kenderdire Fee.
Frank was involved with the Department of Entomology at Penn State, the Friends of the Frost Entomological Museum and the annual Great Insect Fair at Penn State. Many entomologists knew Frank and respected his love of insects; some entomologists spent time in the field collecting with him and he supplied information about the specimens he collected or observed in the field to researchers on many groups of insects. He also had an insect collection of considerable value to those studying Pennsylvania insects. Frank was to some extent a recluse and his entomological acquaintances knew little of his personal life.
Funeral arrangements for Frank D. Fee were under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., 115 W. 10th Street, Tyrone, PA 16686. (Searer217@aol.com)
