Obituary for Doris A. Carper

Doris A. Carper, age 81, a guest at Epworth Manor died Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 8:07 AM at the Manor. She was born November 14, 1933 in Altoona, the daughter of Roy and Margaret Purdue Ehrisman. In 1954 in Tyrone she was married to Randall A. Carper who survives. Also surviving are two sons. Robin (Greg Behun) Carper of FL and Keith Carper of MD, a sister, Janet Cassidy of Tyrone and a sister-in-law Maryann Kurtz of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by two brothers – Bobby and Kenneth Ehrisman.

Doris was originally from Bellwood and was a graduate of Bellwood High School Class of 1951. She later moved to Maryland and worked for 10 years as a secretary at a local flying club. She loved playing video games and her WII. In high school she was a majorette and was an avid sports enthusiast. She enjoyed playing tennis and bowling and liked watching sports, especially the San Antonio Spurs.

Interment service for Mrs. Carper will be Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at 1:00 PM at
Blair Memorial Park.
