Obituary for Donald A. Wolfe

Donald A. Wolfe, 84, of Sinking Valley died Tuesday October 28, 2014 at his residence.

He was born October 12, 1930 in Doylesburg, a son of Sylvester and May Elizabeth (Hockenberry) Wolfe.

Surviving are a son Norman Wayne Wolfe and wife Tammy of Dysart, a daughter Danielle Lynn Wolfe of Bellwood, 2 grandchildren Melissa and Jamie, a brother Charles Wolfe of Altoona and 4 sisters Pauline Hopkins, Charlotte Jean Riley, and Stella May Rutherford all of Bellwood, and Debra A. Lamarre of Strongsville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Gathagan and a brother Albert.

Mr. Wolfe retired in 1992 from Warnaco, Altoona as a machine mechanic following 33 years service. He was a member of the Bellwood VFW.

He was U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving as a sergeant and had received 2 Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star.

There will be no viewing or services. Burial at Arlington National Cemetery.
