Obituary for Carolyn R. Haag

Carolyn R. Haag, 88, of Tyrone died Wednesday September 23, 2015.

She was born May 10, 1927 in Tyrone Forge a daughter of Stephen and Mary (Hyson) Rozick. On August 13, 1949 at St. Matthew Catholic Church she married John F. Haag. He died December 14, 1989.

Surviving are four children, Christine Babe and husband Robert of Sinking Valley, Eileen Fick and husband Brian of White Fish Bay, Wisconsin, Thomas and wife Cindy of North Huntingdon, Eric and wife Anna of Bellefonte, three grandchildren, Rebecca Babe and Sarah and Samantha. She was the last of her immediate family preceded in death by six sisters Ann Waite, Catherine Lynch, Mary Schoell, Verna Monohan, Helen Lynch and Barbara Loncher and three brothers Michael, Stephen and Joseph Rozick.

Mrs. Haag was an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and the Catholic Daughters of America, Court St. Rita.

Carolyn loved bowling and had won a gold and silver medal at the Blair County Golden Games Senior Olympics. She also loved gardening, Silver Sneakers Exercise Class, Friday night card games, morning mass and cooking for her Thursday night company.

Funeral Mass will be held Saturday September 26, 2015 at St. Matthew Catholic Church at 1 P.M., with Fr. Jozef Kovacik officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received today at Feller Memorial Home from 6 to 8 P.M.
