William L. Stahl, 76, of Tyrone died Sunday January 11, 2015 at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona.

He was born February 26, 1939 in Philipsburg, son of Clarence and Catherine (Herr) Stahl. On June 21, 1997, he married Margie Kobuck at the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter Susan Stewart, 4 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 step children Ronald Eaken Jr. of Port Matilda, and Kim Pannebaker of Port Matilda, 2 sisters Betty Stahl of Altoona, and Judy Stewart of Warriors Mark. He was preceded in death by a brother Tom Stahl.

He was a member of the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church.

William retired in 2000 as an administrator for Greentree Village, Bald Eagle, following 10 years of service. He was previously employed with Patwil Homes, Bedford. Following his retirement he was a delivery driver for Thompson Pharmacy, Altoona.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, playing bingo with his wife, and his cats Meka and Jenny. He also enjoyed watching John Wayne movies and crossword puzzles.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday January 15, 2015 at 11AM at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Norman Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Bald Eagle Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2-4P.M. and 7-9P.M. and Thursday from 10-11 A.M. at the funeral home.
