William "Bill" L. Dixon Jr., 59 of Tyrone, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2024. He was born in Altoona on March 26, 1965, the son of the late William L. Dixon Sr. who preceded him in death on October 27, 2013, and Carole (Taylor) Bishop who survives. On October 3, 1987, in Port Matilda, he married Brenda (Replogle) Dixon. Along with his wife and mother, he is survived by two children: Sage and Taylor Dixon; one sister: Carrie (Chris) Dixon-Cash; and his mother and father-in-law: Nancy and Dale Replogle.

Bill was a 1983 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a 1985 graduate of Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology. He owned and operated his family's business, Dixon Tool and Die.

He liked to cook and had a passion for fly fishing and fly tying. He also enjoyed wrestling and was a two time district 6 champion as well as a varsity coach.

A 10:30 am funeral service for William "Bill" L. Dixon Jr. will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Joe Humphreys Fly Fishing Program at Penn State University.
