Wilda F. Pierce, age 86, of Port Matilda died Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. She was born October 10, 1929, the daughter of Gordon R. and Margaret Clewell Walk. On August 29, 1953 at the Port Matilda Methodist Church she was married to Donald E. Pierce who preceded her in death August 12, 2006. She is survived by six children – Randy (Laura) Pierce, Lafayette, NJ, Diane Pierce, Port Jervis, NY, Donna (Daniel) Post, Slate Hill, NY, James (Bonnie) Pierce, Pondeddy, NY, Laura Schneider, Glen Spey, NY and Tracy (Kathryn) Pierce of Glen Spey, NY and 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving is her sister, Ruth Walk, Tyrone, PA and Blair Walk, Erie, PA. She was preceded by 4 siblings – Gene, Kenneth and Jerry Walk and Beatrice Petchel.

Wilda was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1948 and an active homemaker. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother and loved by all her family and all who met her.

Funeral service for Wilda F. Pierce will be Friday, July 22nd at 12 noon at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Pastor Soloman Shaffer officiating. Interment will be made in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Taylor Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM until the

12 noon service.
