Wayne Charles Sharrar, 85 of Tyrone died Thursday, April 15, 2021. He was born in Altoona on March 23, 1936 the son of the late Francis and Dorothy (Lasher) Sharrar. On December 18, 1956 in Altoona, he married Anna Louise Temple who preceded him in death on March 18, 2006. He was also preceded by a fiancé: Darlene Schoch. He is survived by three daughters: Cindy (Kenny) Dancer, Linda (Fred) Christine, and Sharon Sharrar; six grandchildren: Danica Stayton, Lynn Wheland III, Rebekah Wheland, Matthew Christine, James Dancer, and Jason Reese; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister: Audrey Bradley; a twin brother: Blaine Sharrar; and a grandson: Jon Dancer.

Wayne was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School. He was employed by People's Natural Gas as a service man. He attended Bible Baptist Church in Tyrone.

Wayne enjoyed woodworking and gardening and was a part of the morning Burger King Coffee crew.

A 3 pm memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Bible Baptist Church Tyrone with Reverend Ken Patterson officiating. Friends will be received at the church on Tuesday from 1 pm until the 3 pm service. Contributions in Wayne's memory may be made to Bible Baptist Church, 1455 Hamilton Ave., Tyrone, PA 16686.
