Warren Dean Wilson, 76, of Tyrone, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022. He was born in Altoona July 2, 1945 to the late Newell and Carrie Belle (Gunsallus) Wilson. On Sept. 8, 1967 he married Barbara Robenolt, who passed away April 1, 2021.

He is survived by two children, Winshella (Mark) Cushion and Shawn Wilson; two grandsons, Ethan and Anthony Cushion; and brother Richard Wilson. He was preceded in death by siblings, Wayne Wilson, Sandra (Wilson) Osterhout, and Karen Wilson .

Warren was a graduate of Bellwood High, class of '64. After high school he decided to serve our country by joining the Navy. He spent his working career at Rushton Coal Mine and then retired from Norfolk Southern. Warren enjoyed taking rides in his Jeep Wrangler and going fishing and hunting. He also loved spending time with his family and especially his grandkids.

An 11 a.m. funeral service for Warren D. Wilson will be held on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022 at Feller Memorial Home with Reverend Tim Young officiating. Friends and family will be received Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday. Interment will follow at Burket Cemetery in Warriors Mark with military honors.

Arrangements are under the care of the Feller Memorial Home.
