Tonya G. Cherry, 53, of Tyrone died Sunday January 17, 2016 at her residence.

She was born January 25, 1962 in Altoona, a daughter of Edwin and Norma (Shope) Cherry.

Surviving are two brothers Craig and wife Barb of Tyrone, Kip of Tyrone, her significant other William Sage of Tyrone, nieces and nephews Heidi Cherry-Brown, Travis Cherry and Garrett Rhodes and special friends Robin Fortney and Sherry Clabaugh. She was preceded in death by a brother Shane.

She retired on disability in 2004 from the United State Department of Agriculture at Penn State University serving as Budget and Accounting Assistant following 11 years service.

She was a 1979 graduate of Bellwood –Antis High School and a 1989 graduate of South Hills Business School with an Associate degree in Accounting.

Tonya enjoyed traveling, horses, socializing, the beach and gambling at Atlantic City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday January 21, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Chrlottesville Cemetery.. Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M.
