Obituary

Timothy D. Parks, 72 of Warriors Mark, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. He was born in Huntingdon, PA on November 25, 1951, the son of the late Dean Watson and Myrtle Parks Reed. He is survived by two sons: Stephen D. (Rebecca) Parks and Aaron M. Parks; three grandchildren: Harley, Kiana, and Steven; and five siblings: Anthony (Veronica) Reed, Susan Brodzina, Randy (Barb), Rick (Dawn), and Cheryl (Bob) Reed.

Tim was a 1970 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He was a truck driver by profession, working for various companies during his career. Drafted during the Vietnam Conflict, he served honorably in the US Army where he was awarded an Expert Marksman Medal for the M16 and a National Defense Service Medal.

He enjoyed sitting out by the crick on his property and making a fire. He liked hunting and fishing and feeding the birds in his backyard. On most days he could be seen at the Puff 'n Snuff hanging out. He enjoyed spending time with family and attending his granddaughter's events.

A 2 pm funeral service for Timothy D. Parks will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Ardean Latchford officiating. Friends will be received from noon until the 2 pm service. Private interment will be made at Burket Cemetery. Contributions in his memory may be made to the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center, 2907 Pleasant Valley Blvd. Altoona, PA 16602.
