Theresa A. Smith, age 60, of Tyrone died Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Epworth Health Care and Rehabilitation Center, Tyrone. She was born August 10, 1956 in Tyrone, the daughter of Anthony J. and Beverly A. Gibson Germino. On March 11, 2005 she was married to Ricky D. Smith Sr. who survives. Also surviving are two children, Patricia (Randy) Yon and Adam Freeman, all of Tyrone and three step-children April Bowers, Ricky Smith and Lacy Smith, all of Claysburg. Six grandchildren, Jillian and Nathan Yon, Aubrey Tornatore, Kiran Smith, Taylor Bowers and Coltin Smith survive and a brother Frank (Kim) Germino of Warriors Mark. Three aunts are surviving – Jeannine and Bonnie Gibson, both of Tyrone and Sherry Dublin of Altoona and her uncle Vernon Dublin of Altoona and several nieces and nephews. Her uncle, Newton Gibson preceded her in death.

Mrs. Smith was a graduate of Tyrone High School, Class of 1974. She had been employed as a medical secretary and receptionist at a doctor's office and retired on disability. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and helping others and liked reading her bible.

A Memorial Service for Mrs. Smith will be held Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 2 PM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Reverend Kenneth Patterson officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
