Terry W. Tate Sr., age 56, of Tyrone died Wednesday, March 15, 2017. He was born July 13, 1961 in Phillipsburg, the son of George and Emma Wolfe Tate. He is survived by his mother and two sons, Terry W. Tate Jr. and Shayne T. Tate (Fiancé Megan N. Sirianni).

Mr. Tate was a member of the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company as well as the Son's of the American Legion. He enjoyed cooking and supporting his son's endeavors and attending their athletic events.

He was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School class of 1979. Upon graduation he worked for the Chicago Rivet and Machine Company before becoming a lineman for Hinkle and McCoy. After his children were born he returned to work for the Rivet to remain closer to home.
