Taylan Elizabeth McGlynn, 19 of Tyrone, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2026. She was born in Altoona on October 19, 2006, the daughter of Matthew and Erin (Glace) McGlynn who survive. Also surviving is a brother: Levi McGlynn; grandfathers: Jeff Glace Sr. and Dave McGlynn; Great Grandmothers: Peg Supina and Jean Glace; and a great-aunt: Ellen Henninger; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by grandmothers: Eileen Glace and Mary McGlynn; great-grandfather: Larry Glace; and great-grandmother: Louise Henninger.

Taylan was a 2025 graduate of Tyrone Area High School where she was a member of the Lady Eagles volleyball team. She was also a member of the Horseshoe Volleyball Club both as a player and a coach. She was previously a paraprofessional at the Tyrone Area Elementary School and recently began a job as a BHT at Honeycomb ABA Therapy that she was excited about.

Whether she was at the beach, hiking, riding dirtbikes, hunting, or fishing, she enjoyed being outdoors. She loved her car, and cars in general especially Mustangs. She also delighted in going on vacation, eating good food, and spending time with all of her friends. She was into photography, doing photoshoots with her friends, and had aspirations of owning her pwn photography studio one day.

A noon funeral service for Taylan Elizabeth McGlynn will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Tyrone Alliance Church with Reverend Carl Schmidt officiating. Friends will be received at Tyrone Alliance Church on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 3-8 pm, as well as on Friday from 10 am until the noon service. Private interment will be made at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
