Susan Sims, 73 of Altoona, passed away at UPMC Altoona on August 22, 2022. She was born on April 25, 1949 in Punxsutawney, the daughter of the late Edward Albert and Mary Kathryn (Milliron) Jacobson. On June 1, 1971, in San Antonio, TX she married William K. Sims who preceded her on August 23, 2017. She is survived by three daughters: Heather (Joseph) Eisel of Altoona, Megan Sims of Baltimore, and Rebecca (Matthew) Locke of Altoona; four grandchildren: Ashley, Joshua, J. Chandler, and Cadence; seven siblings: Doug, Danny, David (Joy), Tom (MaryAnn), and Ken (Linda) Jacobson, Jack (Connie) Sink, and Terry (Bill) Clemento; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded by one brother: Bob Sink.

Susan was a 1967 graduate of Punxsutawney High School. She received her nursing degree and served as an RN for a brief period of time. She enjoyed watching the Steelers and Penguins, reading, and doing crafts. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

An 11 am memorial service for Susan Sims will be held on Friday, August 26, 2022, at the Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Carl Schmidt officiating.
