Stephen L. Ray, 39, of Tyrone died Friday July 3, 2015 at the Tyrone Hospital Emergency Room.

He was born November 14, 1975 in Altoona a son of Samuel and Kathleen (Muhlbauer) Ray. He was formerly married to Heidi Eaken who survives in Bald Eagle.

Surviving are 2 daughters Adara Shaffer of Harrisburg, Kaylin Ray of Bald Eagle, 2 sons Torrin and Camden Ray both of Bald Eagle, his mother of Tyrone, his father of Wingate, a brother Michael and wife Tonia of Tyrone, his fiancee Destiny Brower of Tyrone, nephews Corbin and Braeden Ray of Tyrone, aunts and uncles, Mary and Glenn Thomas of Altoona, Thomas and Becky Ray of Port Matilda, Glenn and JoAnn Ray of Tyrone, Susan and Scott Bonsell of Tyrone and Georgia Ray of Tyrone. He was preceded in death by a sister Lori Ann Ray.

Mr. Ray was a self employed scarp hauler and was previously employed at G and R Excavating, Tyrone. He was a 1994 graduate of Tyrone Area High School.

Steve was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed spending time with his children, football and fishing.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 7 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Fr. Jozef Kovacik officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2 P.M. until the time of services.
