Shirley L. Sheckler, 89, of Tyrone died Monday November 14, 2016 at Epworth Manor.

She was born July 13, 1927 in Tyrone, a daughter of Robert K. and Dora (Cupp) Meredith. On January 23, 1947 in New York City she married Robert R. Sheckler. He died February 26, 2013.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirlee Waters and husband Denny of Tyrone, Pam Ringholm and husband Doug of Allentown, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a sister, Nancy Hoffman of Pottstown and two brothers Jack of Tyrone and Ted of California. She was preceded in death by a son Robert, two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Sheckler retired in 1978 from Sylvania Electric as an assembly clerk following 20 years service. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Known as "Mom Mom" Shirley loved her grandchildren, family and her church. She was a fashion diva and loved to shop. Later in life she was proud of a computer degree she received from Tyrone High School.

Memorial services will be held Friday November 18, 2016 at 11 A.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. David Keyworth officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral Home on Thursday from 6 to 8 P.M.
