Shelby J. (Wright) Stapleton, 81 of Warriors Mark died Wednesday, January 29, 2020. She was born on January 18, 1939 in Woodbury, the daughter of the late Wilbert and Mabel Wright. On June 21, 1959 in Woodbury she married Thomas D. Stapleton who preceded her in death on August 10, 2010. Shelby is survived by three children: Kent (Marla) Stapleton, April (Andy) Neff and Annette (Brian) Shaffer; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers: Donald (Pam) Wright and Jim (Sally) Wright. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Robin Woodring on February 9, 2009; a sister: Betty Corle; and a brother: Rodger Wright.

Shelby was a 1957 graduate of Woodbury High School and was a member of the Woodbury United Methodist Church. She worked as a telephone operator prior to her marriage and afterwards worked a short time at Penn State University.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, writing and taking care of her family.

At her request, there will be no viewing or services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
