Sara "Sally" Marie Lewis, 77, of Altoona, passed away on April 25, 2023. She was born in Oshkosh, WI, on October 24, 1945, the daughter of the late Sinclair and Harriet (McEachron) McCormick. She is preceded by her husband Hezekiah Lewis Sr. They were married in Oshkosh, WI after the two met at the Job Corps in Maine. She is survived by five children: Christine (Tyrone), Hezikiah (Belinda) Jr., Joseph (Tammy), and Doreen (Sean) Lewis, and Leila Stewart; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sally worked at St. Vincent de Paul in Altoona, as a secretary at the Senior Center, and was also a TSS. She was of the protestant faith. She enjoyed going to Senior Life and participating in their activities. She also liked coloring and was in a coloring club at the Pennsylvania House. She loved John Wayne and watching westerns, and was also a fan of Andy Griffith. Sally was a light to the world.

An 11 am memorial service will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc, with Pastor Don Ball officiating. Friends will be received on Friday from 9 am until the time of service. Committal will be made at Blair Memorial Park following the funeral service. Arrangements are under the care of Richard H.
