Samuel J. Kimberling Jr, age 78, of Warriors Mark died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at his

residence. He was born September 24, 1935 in Tyrone, the son of Samuel J. and Margaret Boughamer Kimberling Sr. He is survived by 4 children to his first marriage to Helen Yon - Bonnie (Mike) Ewry, Altoona, Deb (Dan) Woodring, Martinsburg, WVA, Terry (Bill) Hagerty, Altoona, Samuel (Barbara) Kimberling, Altoona, 6 children to his second marriage to Thelma Thompson who preceded him in death - Oliver Thompson, Bald Eagle, Tammy (William) Moore, Houtzdale, Dixie (Brad), Confer, Bald Eagle, Donna A. (Lester) Stine, Port Matilda, Tina (David) Hoffman, Tyrone, Rebecca (John) Romano, Tyrone. He was preceded in death by his third wife, Rebecca Hammond. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Anna Walk and a son, Samuel Eugene Kimberling. Also surviving are 19 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers Philip Edward (Fran) Kimberling, Tyrone, and Robert Lee (Doris) Kimberling, Tyrone and 2 sisters – Ruth Irene (Dave) Evans, Tyrone and Cathy (Tim) Pavlic, Altoona.

Prior to retirement Mr. Kimberling was employed by Stone Valley Construction of Pine Grove Mills. He was a member of Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company.

Friends may call at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Friday from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service with Dave Evans officiating. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
