Ruth M. Sunday, 87, of Huntingdon, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023, with her family by her side. Ruth was born in Gearhartville, on May 11, 1936, daughter of the late Lambert and Olive Ann (Gearhart) Cowfer. She married George H. Sunday Sr. on August 18, 1954, in Warriors Mark. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2014.

Ruth is survived by daughters, Shelly (Mark) Johnson, and Tracy Gibson; a son Joseph E. (Karen) Sunday; grandchildren, Eric and fiancee Heather, Amber Morrissey, and Melissa (Mick) Woomer, and Todd Hamer partner Kimbre; 6 great grandchildren; step-brother, William Bloom; She is preceded in death by her husband; a son George H. Sunday Jr.; sisters, Annaberyl Miller, Charlotte Minemier and Leora Catich.

Ruth enjoyed spending time with her loving family, was a wonderful homemaker and caregiver of her children, loved bargain shopping and going out for lunch with her friends. She was always such a giving woman, and investing in real estate.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 20, 2023 at 12:30 pm at Feller Memorial Home with Pastor Josh Massey officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 11am to 12:30pm. Interment will be at Gatesburg Lutheran Cemetery.
