Ruth Marie Durbin, 87, of Bald Eagle, passed away Thursday October 13, 2022. She was born in Grazierville on June 18, 1935, the daughter of the late William Ramella and Laura Loraine (Moon) McCahan. On January 17, 2016 at the Canan Station Menonite Church she married Eric Myers who survives. Also surviving is her daughter: Tina Durbin and husband Barry Conrad; Grandchildren: Ciera Marie Davis and Thomas Paul Woodring; and Great Grandchildren: Wren and Tommy Woodring. She was preceded by nine siblings and was the last of her immediate family.

Ruth attended Tyrone High School and spent her career with home nursing, providing home health care for many families.

She enjoyed driving her John Deere tractor around the property and feeding all of the animals, including all the deer and birds. She loved taking care of her cat who was very important to her.

A 4 pm funeral service for Ruth Marie Durbin will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Jack Styer officiating. Friends will be received from 2 pm on Tuesday until the time of the service.
