Rosalie J. Foster, 86, of Tyrone peacefully passed from this life on Sunday September 13, 2015 at Epworth Manor, Tyrone. She confronted the afflictions of age with great courage, strength and determination. She fought it all the way.

Rose was born November 15, 1928 in Port Matilda, the daughter of Charles Henry and Eva Mae (Price) Bennett. She was twice married; first to Edgar E. Gearhart Sr. on August 27, 1949 in Pine Grove Mills. He died October 22, 2008. She then married George P. Foster August 17, 1982 in Winchester,Virginia . He died November 1, 2006.

Mom will be deeply missed by her children, Connie Zapsky and husband Gene of Madera, Edgar Gearhart Jr. of Oklahoma, Jerry Gearhart and wife Deb of Ohio, Gena Barony of State College, twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren a brother Fred Bennett and wife Shirl of Port Matilda and extended family and friends She was preceded in death by two sisters Bertha Weller and Catherine Sickles and four brothers Charles (Bob), Merrill, Raymond (Tub) and Dean Bennett.

Rosalie retired from Juniata Meat Packing, Tyrone.

She enjoyed having her family around her, especially on holidays. She also enjoyed gardening, growing flowers, being outside, going to camp, crossword puzzles and reading.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
