Robert Paul Stager, 72, of Tyrone, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024, at his residence. He was

born November 9, 1951, in Altoona, the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth (Dixon) Stager. On October 14, 1972, at Christ UMC in Tyrone he married Joyce Lloyd who survives.

Also surviving are his two daughters, Melanie (Dave) Adams and Missy (Johnny) Wilson, and his four grandchildren,

Katelyn and Griffin Adams and Alex and Kaleb Wilson. He had one sibling, Carol (Mike) Harpster, of Williamsport, Maryland who survives.

Bob was a 1969 graduate of Tyrone High School. He was the operator of the family business, Tyrone Auto Salvage, since the age of 19 and the owner since 2013. He was active in scouting growing up and received the Eagle Scout award as a teenager. In his 20's he participated in stock car racing.

He enjoyed many outdoor activities through the years including hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, boating, and watching motor sports. The family camp on Pine Creek in Slate Run, PA was his favorite place for summer get-togethers. In addition, he enjoyed his grandchildren and attending their extra-curricular and sporting events.

He was a member of various organizations including the Masons Mountain Lodge 281, Jaffa Shrine, Tyrone Elks Lodge, American Legion, Hookies Fire Company, Fire Tower Hunting Club, and McIntire Hunting Camp.

Friends will be received from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Tyrone; and from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at Noon Friday, August 9, 2024. Rev.
