Robert "Sam" Clifton Anders 78, passed away on April 13, 2026. He was born on October 8,1947, to Jack and Rosemary Anders. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kevin, and his sister Cindy Lou. He is survived by his siblings, Tom (Patricia) and Susie (Jerry); his children, Robert Jr. "Sam" (Jennifer), Jack (Chrissie), Rick (Fizz), and Cheri (Matt); his grandchildren, Shannon, Brooke, Ryan, Evan, Katie (Michael), Carly (Eli), Madelyn (Andy), Amy (Dustin), Ethan (Jill), and Evan (Andrea); and his great-grandchildren, Mason, Ava, Ella, Kaylin, Rosalyn, Blair, Madison, and Ivan.
He was a graduate of Juniata Valley High School and Williamsport Community College. He served honorably in the United States Army National Guard, reaching the rank of Sergeant. He was the proud owner of Anders Garage and B&S Machines.
In his free time, he enjoyed boating, cooking, gardening, canning, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Elks, VFW, and various yacht clubs. He also served as Chairman of Morris Township. Known as the life of the party, he brought joy wherever he went and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He loved life by the water, whether in Aruba, along Indian River and Chesapeake Bay, or by the river in Spruce Creek. Above all, he loved his family, and the 40 years he shared with his beloved Linda, creating a lifetime of cherished memories together.
A 3pm funeral service for Robert "Sam" Clifton Anders will be held on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Cliff Anders officiating. Friends will be received on Friday from Noon until the time of the funeral service. Private interment to be made following the service at Graysville Cemetery.
Contributions in Sam's memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children.
