Richard Lee "Dick" Lane, 83, of Sinking Valley, passed away on Sunday, November 13, 2022. He was born on March 23, 1939, in Port Matilda, to the late Robert D. and Polly (Hosband) Lane. On March 31, 1965, he married Roseann Schnellbach who survives and have been together for 57 years.

Along with his wife he is survived by his children, Richard "Chap" Lane II (Heather), Tammy Lane; Grand Children, Zachary "Herm" Markel, Richard "George" Lane III, "WJ" Lane, Lindsey Lane; siblings, Donald Lane, William Lane, and "Sis" Polly Chambers. He was preceded in death by his brother Robert "Bob" D. Lane ; sister-in-law, Scarlett; and brother-in-law Charles.

Dick was a graduate of class 57' Altoona High. He was a very loving family man, and loved his children and grandchildren very much and cared greatly for his friends. Dick was a car enthusiast, having built a bright yellow T-Bucket from nothing with his son, and taking it to shows.

Viewing will be held on November 18, 2022, from 10-11am with a service to follow after, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will be held in private. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sinking Valley Volunteer Fire Department, 710 Laurel Ln, Altoona, PA 16601
