Ralph "Jim" J. Beck III, 66, of Sinking Valley and a guest of Homewood at Spring House Estate, passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023. He was born in Altoona on March 25, 1957, son of the late Ralph J. Jr. and Joan (Williams) Beck, who survives.

Surviving is a brother, Bruce A. Beck; a sister, Dayonne K. Beck; several aunts and uncles; and a special cousin, Tommy Williams.

Jim was a 1975 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a graduate of Williamsport Area Community College, where he studied auto mechanics. He was a dairy farmer and a partner with his brother and sister at Becksview Farm. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Sinking Valley and a member of the Sunset Hills Golf Club, where he participated in the Senior Men's League.

Jim enjoyed going to Florida with the Altoona Curve Booster Club to watch the Pirates during spring training. He also participated in the Sinking Valley Tractor Trot, where he drove his grandfather's 1946 M Tractor. He also participated in men's slow pitch softball leagues at Ferner Field.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's memory may be made to St. John's Luther Church, PO Box 222, Tyrone, PA 16686.
