Ralph W. Emery, age 80, a guest at the Village at Morrison Cove and a former Tyrone resident died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Altoona Hospital. He was born March 11, 1933 in Tyrone, the son of Ralph Harry and Katherine Louise Rutherfield Emery. He is survived by 8 children – George, Ralph, Melvin, Jimmy, and Mary Emery, Kim Thomas, Carl Goodman and Chiryl Arnott and eight grandchildren and a brother Louis and three sisters – Sharon, Melody and Pam. He was predeceased by one child, Debi Lytle and two sisters, Delores and Rhonda and a brother Kenny.

Mr. Emery attended the Seventh Day Adventist church. He retired from New Enterprise Lime and Stone where he had been a machine operator at the quarry.

Friends of Ralph W. Emery will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home on Friday from 1:30 PM. until the 2:30 PM funeral service which will be conducted by Tom Kurtz. Interment will be made in Eastlawn Cemetery, Tyrone.
