Peggy J. Imler, 77, of State College died Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.

She was born November 29, 1939 in Altoona, a daughter of Harry and Helen (Reed) Piper. On October 17, 1959 in Tyrone she married Floyd W. Imler. He died November 17, 2012.

Surviving are four daughters Jeannie Gibboney and husband Ron of Port Matilda, Suzanne Feller and husband Mike of Tyrone, Barbara Hargenrader and husband Craig of Olmsted Twp., Ohio, Patricia Lewis and husband Dwayne of Julian, ten grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and a brother Donald Piper and wife Connie of Coopersburg. She was preceded in death by a grandson Ronald Gibboney Jr., a great-grandson Gavin and two brothers Walter and Robert Piper.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, State College where she served on the Child Evangelism Bible Club and was in charge of the nursing home and hospital visitation group.

She was previously employed at Big Yank, Tyrone, in the cafeteria at State College Junior High School and had a private day care for ten years.

She loved her family and was a wonderful grandmother. Visiting the elderly gave her great joy.

Friends will be received at Feller Memorial Home on Saturday December 3, 2016 from 12 noon until the funeral service at 2 P.M. with Rev. Carl Schmidt officiating. Interment will follow at Burket Cemetery, Warriors Mark.
