Obituary

Pauline Elizabeth Stanley, 96, of Tyrone died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Colonial Coutyard, Tyrone.

Born February 26, 1921 in Scotia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Alice McKivison Logan and was raised in the home of her grandparents Harriet and John W. McKivison of Gatesburg, PA.

She was first married to Sidney C. Smith who preceded her in death on August 27, 1951. On May 15, 1954 she married Gerald T. "Tom" Stanley who preceded her in death on August 27, 2004.

She is survived by two sons: Barry T. (Deborah) of Tyrone, Blair W. of Tyrone; one daughter: Karen Rosales (Ralph) of San Antonio, Texas; and one grandchild, David Rosales.

Pauline was a member of the Tyrone Church of the brethren where she was also a fourth grade Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed crocheting and crafted afghan blankets for many people. She also hosted many family and extended family dinners. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt and grandmother.

Funeral service for Pauline Elizabeth Stanley will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017 at the Church of the Brethren at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ben Henshaw officiating. Friends will be received at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home on Thursday, April 13 from 6 until 8 p.m. and on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service. Private interment will be held at Logan Valley Cemetery.
