Patricia J. Pavlic, 85 of Altoona and formerly of Tyrone, died Wednesday, October 14, 2020. She was born on October 26, 1934 in Tyrone the daughter of the late John J. Haverstein and Mildred N. (Bickle) Snyder. On January 27, 1953 in Winchester, VA she married Joseph M. Pavlic Jr. who preceded her in death on August 25, 2015. She is survived by three sons: Joseph III (Ann), Timothy E. (Cathy), and Dennis W. Pavlic; one half-sister: Gayle; three grandchildren: Christina Runkle, Brian and Tim "Tyke" (Ashley) Pavlic; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she was also preceded by her step-father Melvin Snyder.
Pat was a 1952 graduate of Tyrone High School where she became the first female drum major in the history of the marching band. She was also a member of the 2nd Avenue United Methodist Church in Altoona.
She loved reading, crosswords, wordsearches, her dog and she became an avid sports fan keeping numerous notebooks of stats and scores for many teams.
An 11 am funeral service for Patricia J. Pavlic will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Brian Sandell officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 am until the 11 am service. Interment will be made at Oak Grove Cemetery, Tyrone.
