Milton C. Getz, 90, of Tyrone, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, May 9, 2024. Milton was born in Tyrone on April 4, 1934 to the late Sylvester and Helen (Mills) Getz. On November 25, 1959 at First English Lutheran in Tyrone, he married the love of his life Mary K. Rudy, who survives.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Patricia (Brian) Houck and Barbara (Chris) Elder; grandchildren, Joseph (Emma), Aaron, Matthew (Shannon), and Dustin (Amy); 9 great-grandchildren with one more on their way; sister, Susanne Winters; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Fred and a sister, Mary Jane.

Milton graduated from TAHS in 1952 and was a member of 1st English Lutheran Church. He was a veteran of the army who served honorably. Milton loved gardening, and would take daily walks to Reservoir Park, usually with a 4 legged friend. Later on, he would still go on walks in his backyard with his wife of 64 years. Milton loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and his great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 10-11am, with a funeral service to follow on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Feller Memorial Home, with Pastor Sharon Erb officiating. Burial will be held in private.
