Melinda J. Stouffer, 74 of Tyrone, passed away on July 8, 2023. She was born in Altoona on February 9, 1949, the daughter of the late James W. and Jane (Kustenbauder) Morrisey. On March 5, 1983, in Tyrone, she married Jarry Stouffer who survives. Also surviving are two children: Harold (Heidi) Matley and Brenda Staymates; three stepdaughters Andrea (Kip) Stapleton, Lisa Stouffer, and Carla Keith; 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren; and two brothers: James G. and John E. Morrisey.

She was a 1967 graduate of Tyrone Area High School and a 1977 graduate of the Altoona Nursing School. Melinda worked many years as an CNA at Epworth Manor. She enjoyed puzzles, spending time with family and having get togethers, as well as hunting and fishing.

A noon funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at the Feller Memorial Home, with pastor Todd Templeton officiating. Friends will be received on Thursday from 10 am until the time of service. Private interment will be made at Baughman Cemetery.
