Matthew Charles Kensinger, 36 of Fredericksburg, VA, and formerly of Tyrone, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025. He was born in Altoona, on September 29, 1988, a son of Julie (Kimberling) Kensinger and Edward Kensinger II who survive. Also surviving are two children: Aiden J. Kensinger and his mother Melinda Kensinger, and Eliana K. Kensinger and her mother and Matthew's partner, Rosana Hughes and her two sons: Chase and Braiden; three siblings: Adam Kensinger, Mandy Bock, and Dale Kensinger; a step-brother: Zach Killion; maternal grandparents: Charles Noble and Jean Noble; and a step-mother: Mary Beth Kensinger. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents: Ed and Connie Kensinger.

Matt was a 2007 graduate of Mountain View High School. He worked as a groundskeeper at several golf courses in the Fredericksburg area. He enjoyed mechanics, fishing, and golfing.

A celebration of life for Matthew Charles Kensinger will be held at the convenience of the family. Contributions in his memory may be made to Hillside Community Church Tyrone, 1701 Columbia Ave, Tyrone, PA 16686.
