Beloved mother, grandmother, GG, and friend, Mary Louise Wilson, 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on August 8, 2017. She was born on January 15, 1939 in Tyrone. She is survived by two daughters, Peggy (Richard) Poorman and Deb Wilson; two grandchildren, Tyler (Kelsey) Poorman and Brooke (Anthony) Zimmerman; one great-grandchild, Jocelyn, her dearest friend Jane Blowers and her ever faithful companion, her dog Elvis; along with many lifelong friends she made while working at Corning. She is preceded in death by a brother, Jack Palmer of Miramar, FL.

Lou loved to spend time with her family. She enjoyed camping and traveling to the beach with them every year. She was an avid fisher-woman and for 40 years she traveled to Canada with a group of friends to fish. Lou took great joy in being a part of both her grandchildren's weddings. Her great-granddaughter, Jocelyn, brought such a smile to her face up until the very end. Her family will miss her dearly and will always keep her alive in so many memories.

A celebration of her life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made in her name to PAWS and Home Nursing Agency.
