Mary Jeanne Good, 84, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, at Traditions of Hershey in Hershey, Pennsylvania, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease.
She was born on November 29, 1940, in Williamsburg, Pa., to Jeannette G. Good and Dr. George Good. In 1960, she married M. Donald Wagner, sharing 65 years of marriage.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, George Ross Good, Jr. Mary is survived by her sister, Marjorie A. (Good) Ross; her children: Mary Ellen (Ronald) Barsanti, Marcia (Carl) Ferlitch, and Donald W. Wagner; her grandchildren: Alexandra (Anuj Khatiwada) Barsanti, Lindsey (Luke) Hawk, Christopher Barsanti, Cassandra (David) Harvey, Carl Ferlitch Jr., Haley Wagner, Payton Wagner, and Jack Wagner; and six great-grandchildren.
A devoted member of Tyrone Presbyterian Church, where she was employed as church secretary for thirty years, Mary was active in many community organizations, including the Women's Club of Tyrone, the Allegheny Chorale, and the Red Hat Society. She loved music and choral singing and participated in the church choir for the entirety of her adult life.
In her later years, Mary and her husband traveled widely through the Caribbean and Europe, but she especially valued the annual summer family vacations that became a decades - long tradition. These gatherings brought the family together year after year and remained among her most treasured memories, which her family also deeply valued.
She was actively involved in the lives of her children and, especially, her grandchildren. Known to them as "Grammy," she made it a priority to attend their events and activities, always offering her enthusiastic support.
Her life was marked by determination, grace, and steadfast devotion to her family. She will be remembered for the way she lived and the deep commitment she held to those she loved most.
A viewing will be held at The First Presbyterian Church 102 West 13th Street Tyrone, PA on Friday, August 15, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
