Martha Elizabeth Stonebraker who was affectionately known as "Mart" and "Marty", age 93, of Albuquerque, NM, and formerly of Tyrone, PA passed away on August 15, 2023. She was born in Tyrone on January 24, 1930, the daughter of the late Charles E. and Edith E. (Kleckner) Richardson. On August 26, 1949 in Winchester, VA she married Richard H. Stonebraker who preceded her in death on April 28, 1990, after 41 years of marriage. She is survived by two children: James E. (Carol) Stonebraker and Cathy A. (Daniel Jr) Vortolomei; four grandchildren: James E. (Patricia) Stonebraker, Jr; Richard M. (Jennifer Gurz) Stonebraker; Caitlyn M. (Skyler) Stevers; Daniel (Lisha) Vortolomei III; 11 great-grandchildren: Natalie, Elizabeth, Olivia, Cal, Brett, Talan, Grant, Peyton, Josiah, Eva, Daniel IV; one sister: Vicki L. (Glenn) Geissinger; and many nieces and nephews who knew her as Aunt Mart. She was preceded by five siblings: Charles B. Richardson, James W. Richardson, Ernest W. Richardson, Gertrude L. Irvin, and infant Robert Richardson.

She was a 1948 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. She was both a mother and homemaker but also worked in the cafeteria at Tyrone Area High School, as well as the Tyrone Daily Herald. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Mart enjoyed cooking, baking, camping, traveling, going shopping, and spending time with family, especially going out to eat with them.

An 11 am funeral service for Martha Elizabeth Stonebraker will be held on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc, with Pastor Jim House officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday, August 28, 2023, from 1-4 pm, and again on Tuesday from 10 am until the time of service.
