Marion P. "Pat" Waple, 81, a resident at Homewood at Martinsburg, died Thursday, March 30, 2017. He was born March 10, 1936 in Philipsburg, the son of Harry Walter and Elizabeth Dawson Waple Sr. He was preceded in death by his two loving wives, Regina Prough Waple and Annie Lee Waple. Surviving are his two daughters, Betsy Evans (Jim) of Bellwood and Janice Kriby (Dave) of Mechanicsburg. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Amber and Crystal Evans and Alex Kirby, two brothers, Harry Waple Jr. (Barbara) of Arizona and Joeseph Waple (Laurie) of Florida and a friend Carol Gebert.

Pat was a 1954 graduate of Tyrone High School after which he served in the U.S. Army from 1954 until 1957 and later attended Penn State University. Mr. Waple retired from Nationwide Insurance after 29 years as a Claims Manager and later returned to work for Aegis Security Insurance from which he retired after 14 years.

Pat was a past member of the West Shore Elks Lodge #2257, charter president of the Chambersburg Jaycees and the past president of the Franklin County Claims Association. Pat was also an avid Penn State fan and enjoyed spending time with his family.

A memorial service for Marion "Pat" Waple will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Bice Chapel at Homewood at Martinsburg, 437 Givler Drive, Martinsburg, PA 16662. Friends will be received at the Chapel from 1:00 PM until the 2:00 PM service. Arrangements are under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc.
