Marilynn "Mim" Carper, 67 of Tyrone, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026. She was born in Tyrone on October 3, 1958, a daughter of the late Edward Ellis Sr. and Alma Kathryn (Black) Updyke. In 1984 in New Bloomfield, PA she married Herman Mac "Mac" Carper who survives. Also surviving are her children: Herman Mac "Macky" Carper Jr., Roberta "Boo" Kathryn Ewing, and Faith Elizabeth Carper; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and siblings: Linda (Don) Phillips, Vickie Bridges, Edward (Nancy) Updyke, Samuel Updyke, Robert (Marie) Supina, and Susan (John) Gonsalez. She was preceded by her grandson: Tobias Mac Carper; and siblings: Jack, Kate, Marylou, Bill, Pat, and Jim Supina.

Mim attended Tyrone Area High School. She loved crocheting, sewing, and babysitting. She especially enjoyed her time with her family and was happiest spending time with all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Noon memorial service for Marilynn "Mim" Carper will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. Friends will be received from 10 am until the time of service. Contributions in Mim's memory may be made in care of the family to the Richard H.
