Obituary

Mahlon C. Osterhout, Sr., 66, of Tyrone died Sunday July 26, 2015 at his residence.

He was born September 3, 1948 in Tyrone, a son of Mahlon R. Sr. and the late Verna L. (Riggleman) Osterhout. He was formerly married to Cindy Carper who survives in Altoona.

Surviving are four daughters Deborah Osterhout of Freeburg, Leahayn Pensyl and husband Chuck of Altoona, Jean Powell of Tyrone, Karen Lynn of Tyrone, two sons Mahlon C. Jr. of Tyrone, Bill Miller of Petersburg, fourteen grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, his father of Tyrone, his fiancée Carol Leech of Beaverdale, and two sisters Barbara L. Miller of Tyrone and Darlene Tuskovich of Tyrone.. He was preceded in death by his mother, a brother Arthur Leroy and a sister Suzanne Decker.

Mr. Osterhout retired on disability in 2003 from H.L. Neil Roofing as a roofer following 32 years service.

Mahlon enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and model cars.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday July 29, 2015 at 7 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 until 7 P.M.
