Lois McIntire, 89, of Tyrone, died on October 14, 2024. She was born in Houtzdale, PA on February 14, 1935, the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Zimmerman) Dugan. She is survived by three brothers: Charles, Jim, and Joe Dugan, and neighbors: Jim and Joyce Butler who were like family to her. She was preceded in death by her husband Millard "Mac" McIntire on June 6, 1999.

She was a regular attendee of the First Presbyterian Church of Tyrone, where she loved being part of such a tight knit church family. She was employed at Sylvania in Altoona for many years and then at Epworth Manor for 20 years before retiring.

Her many friends will agree that she was a Valentine's Day girl who lived to brighten the lives of others. Always ready to tell a story and see the beauty in the worst of times. She was admired for her positive attitude.

This sad time should also be happy for those who love and respect God, as Lois did. She is living in GLORY now. Lois is saying: "OH!! Isn't it just BEAUTIFUL here!!" And the people who love her are replying: "Enjoy your well-DESERVED reward. God bless you, Lois. We will miss you dearly."

Memorial services for Lois McIntire will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made at Alto Rest Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc.
