Larry S. Williams Sr., age 55, of Tyrone died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Emergency Room of Tyrone Hospital. He was born August 27, 1957, the son of Francis C. and Janet Gill Williams. On September 27, 1997 he was married to Loretta Webster who survives. Also surviving is his mother and four children – Larry Williams Jr. (Bobbi Jo), Tyrone, Brandon Williams, Tyrone, Kristen Williams, Huntingdon and Corey Williams, Huntingdon and grandchildren, Brittney Williams and Courtney Williams, Brandon Williams, Susannah Williams, Taylin Williams and Gabriel Flemming. Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters – Bonnie (Tom) Cooper, Tyrone, Frances (Harry) Rhodes, Enola, Port (Barbara) Williams, Huntingdon, Randy (Brenda) Williams, Tyrone and Patrick (Carrie) Williams, Tyrone.

Mr. Williams was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School Class of 1976 and had served in the U.S. Navy Seabees. He had been employed at Chicago Rivet and Machine Co. as a header operator with 30 years service. He was a member of Howard Gardner American Legion Post #281. Hunting was his passion and he enjoyed fishing, camping and traveling.

Mr. Williams was proud that he was able to give the gift of life by being an organ donor.

Funeral service for Larry S. Williams Sr. will be Monday at 11 AM at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc. with Reverend Norman E. Huff officiating. There will be a flag presentation by the Tyrone Honor Guard. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM and on Monday from 10 AM until the 11 AM service.
