IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kim D.
Westley
February 19, 1949 – December 6, 2024
Kim Darwin Westley, 75 of Port Matilda, passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024. He was born at home in Northwood on February 19, 1949, a son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Schnellbaugh) Westley. On June 8, 1968, he married Judith Robinson who survives. Kim and Judy shared 56 wonderful years of marriage and one was never seen without the other. Also surviving are three sons: Bradley (Tracy), Matthew, and Joseph Westley; two granddaughters: Tessa and Taylor; five siblings: Marsha "Sis" McCoy, Evagene Shultz, Linda Harris, Sharon (Jerry) Twoey, and Dwight Westley; and a special cousin: Roseann Lane. He was preceded in death by four siblings: Joseph, Larry, and Darrel Westley, and Maureen Kustenbauder.
He was a 1967 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He retired from the Centre Daily Times as a pressman. He was also a member of the Port Matilda United Methodist Church and the Graphic Communicators Union.
Kim enjoyed collecting model trains and had an extensive collection of American Flyers. He was an avid hunter and trained and hunted with various bird dogs. His passion for birds was not only in hunting them as he raised chickens along with homing pigeons which he raced. He was a fan of wrestling, especially Penn State wrestling and attended home matches whenever he had the chance. Most of all though, Kim cherished spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters whom he cherished.
Kim was an exceptional husband, father, and pappy, and will be greatly missed. He is at peace now with his Heavenly Father.
