Kathie V. Sims, 55, of Tyrone died Wednesday December 2, 2015 at her residence.

She was born September 22, 1960 in Newport, Rhode Island, a daughter of Guy and Virginia (Steele) Harris. On September 15, 2005 in Tyrone she married James R. Sims.

Surviving are her husband, a two daughters Chasity Herring of Washington, Christina Davis of Pittsburgh, a son Brandon Kiers of Tyrone, 7 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, a step-son James R. Sims Jr. of Lake Placid, Florida, a step-daughter Lisa M. Sims of Hollywood, Florida, two sisters Karen Kiskaden of Amity, Kelly Orlosky of Washington, two brothers William McLaughlin and Guy William Harris both of Rome, Georgia and her special friend of 38 years Brenda Daniels of Claysville. She was preceded in death by a brother Michael.

Kathie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Feller Memorial Home on Sunday December 6, 2015 for 2 to 4 P.M.
