Josephine M. "Josie" Weston, 93, of Tyrone, passed away Saturday. She was born in Pemberton, daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Steele) Seiner.

On Sept. 28, 1952, at Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church, she married Van "Skeet" Ray Weston who preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2014.

She is survived by three children: Jim (Roseann) Weston, Tim (Helene) Weston and Deanna (Rick) Gray; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jim Seiner.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Anderson.

Josie was a member of the 1949 class of Juniata Valley High School, who was responsible for selecting the schools green and white colors and their Hornet mascot. She retired from the Altoona Beauty School.

She enjoyed attending Tyrone football games and wrestling events, but more than anything she loved to spend time with her family.

Friends will be received from 10:30 until the 11:30 a.m. celebration of life Friday, Aug. 8, 2025, at First English Lutheran Church, 17 W. 13th St., Tyrone, with Pastor Peter Naschke officiating.
